If you want your child to exercise their own creativity and not have to fit in the lines or color schemes planned, get basic pages. It is up to you.

The primary stimulation to the brain they provide is that knowledge of colors. It is not merely colors that help but the kids get that aesthetic sense by the act of coloring.
